The CoZmonitor blood glucose module easily attaches to the back of the Deltec Cozmo insulin pump and communicates with the pump via infrared technology. The CoZmonitor module is very slim and sleek, about the size of a few sticks of gum. As the first ever “all-in-one” blood glucose monitor and insulin pump, patients no longer need to carry a separate blood glucose monitor because the two are combined into one. Using infrared technology to communicate information from the CoZmonitor module to the Deltec Cozmo pump eliminates the need to manually transfer blood glucose readings to the pump, ensuring quick and easy insulin delivery. After a patient inserts a FreeStyle test strip and tests a blood sample, the CoZmonitor module instantly sends real-time blood glucose results to the Deltec Cozmo pump that can be viewed immediately on the pump’s display screen. The IR port on the back of the Deltec Cozmo® insulin pump provides two functions:
1. It Allows the CoZmonitor Blood Glucose Module to communicate with the Deltec Cozmo insulin pump.
